Saint Gianna Beretta Molla (October 4, 1922 - April 28, 1962) was an Italian pediatrician, wife and mother who is best known for refusing an abortion to end her gestation, despite warnings that with her quaternary baby may defeat her. She died seven days when redeeming her kid. She was canonized by Pope John Paul II on May 16, 2004.
